While watching a movie recently, I couldn’t hear the dialogue over the chatter of the two women sitting in front of me. Unable to bear it any longer, I tapped one of them on the shoulder.

“Excuse me,” I said, “I can’t hear.”

“I should hope not,” she replied sharply. “This is a private conversation.”

Considering the privacy they wanted it’s a safe guess that the women weren’t discussing college student loans.

We don’t have Tivo anymore, since switching to FIOS. I had some shows on the hard drive that couldn’t be replaced and had been wondering something for some time. What is the best way to back up a Tivo or DVR? If you have shows on there you don’t want to lose and for some reason can’t or won’t move them to a DVD, how else do you back them up for protection. Is there any type of online backup, since you can connect to a home network?
