I’m not a big fan of the combined couple names that have become so popular in the past couple of years. Names like “Jasam” for Jason and Sam of General Hospital. They began in the news and magazines. Now they have made their way to television. This month I’ve started seeing a combined commercial for two shows on the same network – Necessary Roughness and Royal Pains. In the commercial the two series stars are talking and offer combined names for themselves – Hanny and Dank. They make no sense. They might as well call themselves coogi or something else they can pull out of alphabet soup. What do you think of combined names for couples? Do they make sense to you?
