Here are five facts you may not know without getting a book from a spy shop or watching movies. If you’re a good guy, you’ll definitely want to know these things because they make get you out of a sticky situation. You’ve only got one life to live and one of these could save it. Or the world. Here they are.

• The ventilation system of any building is the perfect hiding place. Noone will ever think of looking for you in there and you can travel to any other part of the building you want without difficulty. (NOTE, this one is challenging if you aren’t in good shape.)

• When confronted by an evil international terrorist, sarcasm and wisecracks are your best weapons.

• Rather than wasting bullets, megalomaniacs prefer to kill their arch enemies using complicated machinery involving fuses, pulley systems, deadly gases, lasers and man-eating sharks which will allow their captives at least 20 minutes to escape. (NOTE: First thing I thought of here was every Bond movie ever made.)

• A gang of highly-trained terrorists will always separate and search for an intruder on their own – so they can be killed one by one. (NOTE: First thing I thought of here was the movie Die Hard. And every Bond movie ever made.)

• Should you need to diffuse a bomb, don’t worry about which wire to cut. You will always choose the right one.
