The Many Faces Of Star Trek

I’m 44. I loved the original Star Trek series. You know, the one with William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy. I’ve probably seen every episode several times. I’ve seen the Star Trek movies. Then they were over and we were introduced to Star Trek: The Next Generation. I watched a good number of those too. I liked the characters of jean-Luc Picard, Jordy, Data and the others. Then they were gone and we were left with Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. I only saw a couple of episodes of that one and didn’t care for it. I stopped watching. In 2009 the world was treated to a new Star Trek movie. New story, same characters as the original series but portrayed by younger actors. I resisted seeing it because I felt there was no way that I would enjoy it as much as the original. It’s been a while now and I admit, my curiosity is really getting to me. It’s playing on the premium movie channels now and I think I’m going to watch it. so for the readers that watched the original and the latest movie – did you find that the storyline and acting made the crossover believable?
