Lately I’ve been seeing more and more televisions in waiting rooms of professionals such as doctors. There’s generally a sign saying “please do not change the channel”, or something to that effect. What strikes me as odd is that most of the time these televisions are too high up on the wall for the average person to reach. And it isn’t like there is a step stool or ladder handy. Obviously people must have reached the buttons to change the channel at some point, in order to cause these signs to be necessary. So do people in the waiting room drag over the chairs to reach or something?

One of the most recent celebrity weddings is the royal wedding in England. For some reason everyone all over the country feels it necessary to watch these weddings on tv. Why? After all, they’re just like other people, only famous. I for one don’t find it necessary to sit at home and watch a wedding of people I don’t know at all on tv. I’m guessing the only possible reason someone would watch a wedding on tv is because they want to feel involved in the situation.

I do. Preseason football is underway. Before we know what’s happened it will September and the official season will kick off (pun intended). Diehard football fans so look forward to the challenge coin toss every week because it signals that game play is about to begin. The toss is called by the visiting captain. The winner of the toss chooses one of two things – if they want to receive or kick, or which goal they want to defend.

It was announced last month that the company Prospect Park had purchased the online rights for both of ABC’s canceled soaps, All My Children and One Life To Live. It’s been announced that the first date the shows will be airing online is Monday January 16, 2012. From what I’ve read the company said they were going to continue with the characters and the storylines. Problem is, actors from the shows are stating they haven’t been asked to negotiate any new deals. Its sounds to me like maybe they all need to make use of something like megameeting.com web conferencing and get it all straightened out, being as January is just a few months away.

As OLTL fans know, One Life To Live has also been canceled by ABC. The last air date for the soap, on the air since 1968, will be Friday January 20, 2012. ABC stated they canceled the show because the viewers want different types of programming. That time slot will be taken over by a new show called The Revolution, a show focusing on health and lifestyle transformations. The revolution will be hosted by Project Runway’s Tim Gunn, former Idol contestant Kimberley Locke, and celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak.

Have you heard of or seen the new show Suits? I just watched one episode of it this week. From what I understand the series is about an extremely intelligent guy, Mike, that has a photographic memory. (Wouldn’t that be helpful when you’re trying to remember where you saw some dropdowndeals promo codes?) Mike gets hired by Harvey, a very successful attorney. Apparently Harvey wants him to pretend he’s a lawyer, but isn’t willing to let other members of the firm find out.
