I’m watching 90210 (the new one). It’ll be interesting to see where they go with some of the stories and characters. Kelly Taylor has a young son this time around. On tonight’s episode there is again mention of “him”, the baby’s father. Brenda was going on and on telling Kelly she wasn’t over him and on and on and all of a sudden she said “you’re still in love with Dylan.” I thought for sure the baby’s father was going to be Brandon. Did anyone else see tonight’s episode?

I’ve been seeing commercials for the new 90210 which premieres tomorrow. I saw some clips from the show and a couple of interviews with some of the cast members. Think young. Teen characters who in real life would need to consider acne treatments are once again being portrayed by actors and actresses who don’t look their real age. And Jennie and Shannon still look young.

I just read today on both the E Online and the TV Guide websites that the actress Shannon Doherty will be joining the 90210 spinoff due on the CW network this fall. The actress will be bringing the character of Brenda Walsh back for multiple episodes as an actress and director coming to Beverly Hills to direct a student production. At the rate that members of the original cast are coming to the new show there will need to be some digital signage over the Peach Pit saying “young and old, all are welcome here”.

In recent interviews both Jason Priestley and Luke Perry said they will not go back to 90210. I read on MSNBC that Priestley confirmed he was asked but that he would only have interest in going back to direct. For me I would rather the men went back then the women. I don’t think it would make sense if they had the whole Beverly Hills 90210 cast back, because I don’t think it would get too many new viewers. I think tying in a couple makes a lot of sense.

In the past couple of days I’ve started seeing a commercial for the 90210 series that’s supposed to start airing in the fall. The commercial said it will be on on Tuesdays. They’re using the same theme music as before except it’s a bit heavier and contains more electronics. The commercial does give a quick glimpse of what the teenage characters will look like, but no sign of the adults. We watched the original Beverly Hills 90210 from beginning to end, and yes we are curious about this one and will be checking it out when it airs.

Today I heard that a spin off of one of my old favorites, Beverly Hills 90210, had been announced. Now I thought that meant spin off as in one or more of the characters was starting a new show with the old character. But that’s not what’s happening here. In this case the title Beverly Hills 90210 Revisited might be more appropriate. Once again viewers will be presented with a show that will focus on The Mills family, a family with two teenagers who moves from the Midwest to Beverly Hills, and their new teenage friends. The show has not been given a title as of yet.

These are shows I used to watch every week. I had a season pass set up for those I watched since getting Tivo. These shows have been cancelled, I am convinced, because I liked them. This is not a complete list. I used to delete my season passes once the shows were cancelled but I now keep them.

Drama. Kidnapped, Vanished, The West Wing, The Sopranos, Seventh Heaven, Starter Wife, Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place.
