Apparently the list of primetime shows that I like is going to look like it’s been given diet pills in the near future. I found out today that ABC is not ordering new episodes of two of the shows I really like, Dirty Sexy Money and Pushing Daisies, as well as a third show Eli Stone. ABC is not saying the shows are cancelled at this time, just that they’re not making new ones. I am so disappointed because I like both and some interesting storylines were building on both. I hope ABC reconsiders its decision.

Well what with the writer’s strike and everything I somehow totally missed the news that one of my favorite shows, The Dead Zone, has been cancelled by USA Network. I watched every episode but one of that show, and it was on for six seasons. I found the story interesting, and I never got the impression it was super high budget. I’m almost afraid to think of what they’ll replace it with, probably yet another reality show, maybe about all the stars in drug rehab or some such junk. I hope somehow Anthony Michael Hall can a deal to close up the loose ends with a tv movie or mini series or something.

These are shows I used to watch every week. I had a season pass set up for those I watched since getting Tivo. These shows have been cancelled, I am convinced, because I liked them. This is not a complete list. I used to delete my season passes once the shows were cancelled but I now keep them.
Comedy. Friends, Will and Grace, Everybody Loves Raymond, Happy Hour, Seinfeld, Sex In The City.
Drama. Kidnapped, Vanished, The West Wing, The Sopranos, Seventh Heaven, Starter Wife, Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place.
