Transformers movie on dvd this week

Transformers the movie is releasing on dvd and bluray this week. I’m sure that many home viewers will be rolling out the red home theater carpet for this movie. I went to the Transformers movie website and saw that another Transformers movie is slated to open next summer. I admit, I haven’t seen this movie. I remember the Transformers cartoon and thought it was awful, which is why I haven’t seen the movie. I’ll wait and check it out when it comes onto one of the movie channels on television.

Harry Potter trailer sighted

In my travels this evening I happened to visit the Harry Potter website, where I was treated to a trailer for the new Harry Potter movie. The movie Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince is set to release in November 2008. The premiere looks terrific, as I think they all always have. If tickets were put on sale today I’d buy some. I can’t wait to see this movie. Are any of you Harry Potter fans? Which movie is your favorite so far?

Reno 911 movie

Who likes the tv show Reno 911? I watched the first two episodes a couple of years ago and thought the show was crap so I haven’t watched it since. I found out today they also made a movie called Reno 911 Miami. My brother told me he thought it was funny and asked me if I wanted to borrow the dvd. When I asked him what it was about, he said that the movie takes place during a police convention and that Miami police are quarantined in a hotel (obviously not one of the Reno hotels) so the Reno 911 gang try to answer all of the police calls. I said no thanks, it sounded as bad as the show. So who’s seen the movie? Did you like it?

Where did Deuce buy his fish food?

Deuce Bigalow Male Gigolo was on again. I may have missed it but I don’t recall ever seeing where he got his fish food. If he’d had a computer he could have ordered it online from The Aquarium Guys at http://www.aquariumguys.com/fish-food.html. The Aquarium Guys carry over 200 types of fish food, so I’m sure anyone needing fish food can find what they’re looking for there. I never knew there were so many types of different fish food. I learned on this site that different fish need different foods to accommodate different dietary needs and feeding habits, and that contrary to what we thought, fish won’t eat just any food because they’re not all the same. We’ve had several fish tanks over the years. I bought hubby a 55 gallon tank once but anything we put in it always died. We got the tank used, so maybe there was a problem with it. Fish can get pretty expensive to buy, so if we were to ever get another tank I’d want to buy a new one and make sure we did everything right. The Aquarium Guys offer in depth setup and maintenance guides, which might have helped us with our tank of death.

4th Indiana Jones movie

Another preview my sonand I saw when we went to the movies this past Friday night was one for Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull. Harrison Ford is back as Indy once again. The trailer tells us that a magical crystal skull has been stolen from a city in the Amazon and if it is returned to the city temple, which is guarded by the living dead, all of the powers will be transferred to the person who returned it. To me the new movie looks just as good as the old ones, which we enjoyed. This movie looks like it’s got some good action scenes. The coloring, graphics, costumes and set all fit right in with the three previous movies really well. Trailers are posted on the Indiana Jones site, from this and the past three Indiana Jones movies.

Who dies in Sex And The City The Movie

In a Creation Nation comedy show this past week actress Cynthia Nixon, who portrays Miranda Hobbes, let it slip that a character in the upcoming Sex And The City movie dies. She is quoted as saying “There’s a loss that happens that’s pretty tough. Something significant happens to Carrie, and it really forces her to ask questions that you have to ask about yourself.” So, any guesses who dies? I watched the trailer and I can see why some people are thinking it’s Mr Big. No hints from Sarah Jessica Parker in a recent interview. A recent interview for Access Hollywood quotes “People are gonna be stunned, floored and happy,” the actress said of the plot. “They’re gonna be happy, surprised, feel a lot of sadness, and hopefully understand what it is that’s happened in Carrie’s life.”  Of course there is also the possibility this was a planned pr move. I guess I’ll just have to wait until the movie comes out to find out, which is May 30.

XFiles title revealed

Well we finally learned the title of the upcoming XFiles movie this week. After 20th Century Fox approved the title this morning, Chris Carter, who cowrote and directed the movie, announced that the title of the movie will be “The X-Files: I Want to Believe”. Viewers saw the phrase on a poster in Mulder’s office throughout the duration of the show. This is the second XFiles movie and is due out in theaters on July 25, 2008. I was an XFiles fan and I did see the first movie, so I will see this one as well at some point, depending on how good the trailer looks. What about you? Were you an XFiles fan? Will you be seeing the movie?

X Files movie due out in July 2008

We’ve heard about this one for years, since almost immediately after the television series was canceled. Most of you remember the X Files, don’t you? I sure do. I spent one night a week in front of the tv watching that show from 1993 to 2002. David Duchovny played FBI agent Fox Mulder and Gillian Anderson played FBI agent Dana Scully. This week Chris Carter, the creator of the X Files series, released a little information. The movie, which Carter directed, is due out on July 25, 2008. The name of the title has not been announced, also much of the plot remains a secret. Carter did say the movie takes place in present day, and tries to pick up from where the series left off when it ended  in 2002.

TV homes

I’m always fascinated by the different homes and living spaces on television. When I’m watching a show I always find myself wondering if the set has been recycled from another show, or if an exterior was used in anything else. One of my favorite interior sets was from a television show I watched for all ten years from beginning to end, 7th heaven. I would love a house laid out like that. What a lot of people might not know is that the exterior shot shown in the pilot is of a real house in California that was used in a number of movies including Risky Business, the Babysitters Club and How Stella Got Her Groove Back. One of the giveaways that it was the same house were the columns on the front of the house (although I do now know if they were fiberglass columns or not). What’s your favorite tv show home interior set?
